This was actually the first track that I wrote and produced. It's based around an acoustic guitar riff in 7/4 time that I was playing around with for a while before the rest of the song fell into place. I never considered this song to be a dance track, but I've seen it included in a number of Salsa Playlists! The song was produced in a '70's vibe featuring Jimmy Haslip on bass (The Yellowjackets) and the amazing backing vocals of the Perri Sisters (Anita Baker). The song is a commentary about what's going on in America today and some of the problems we need to solve.
